Sorry this is off-topic a bit but while on the subject, I heard on a Red Sox broadcast of a Reds' game (oddly enough) EdE's getting married to Tony Peña's daughter. Pictures? Article? I think she is also Jennifer. There are many Jenny's.
Dumatrait (Pirates) reverted to 2007 form and lost the extra-inning game with Cubs. I'm still mad at him getting so many starts last year. Opposing hitters hit .448 and had and ops of 8 quadrillion.
I'm so glad Felipe Lopez (.233) and Austin Kearns (.227) aren't putting up those kind of numbers on this team. It wasn't a good trade at the time (for the perceived talent we were giving up) but ironically looks promising with Daryl Thompson possibly blossoming. The tears shed for Brendan Harris (who we got but gave up) early last year were a bit premature, similar to Justin Germano who faded last year. Moving on from Lopez and Kearns has been remarkably successful.
Wily Mo is still out. Cantu hit a homer but has got off to a slow start for the budget-conscious Marlins.
Jorge Cantu went 3-for-4 with two RBI to help the Marlins wins on Thursday.
Cantu, who hit his first homer Wednesday, has nine hits in five games since opening the season 2-for-16. Still, he might take a seat on Friday. Wes Helms has strong numbers against Roy Oswalt and could be primed for his first start since rejoining the Marlins.

I think he retired with KC in 2004, since that's when he last pitched in the majors. That guy was one of the most durable relievers I can remember. Just looked up his stats, and he threw 4 straight years of 100+ innings out of the bullpen for us, and a 97 inning season the year before.
