The Triple-A Sacramento River Cats put their power on display in an exhibition against their High-A brethren, the Stockton Ports. Sacramento hit three homeruns in the 9-3 win in front of 1,593 at Banner Island Ballpark.

Josh Horton, Michael Choice and Shane Peterson each went deep, while several River Cats went for extra-bases, including Jemile Weeks, Luke Montz and Scott Moore.

Sonny Gray was brilliant in his five-inning outing. He didn't allow a base-runner until one-out in the fifth and he quickly erased that hit with a double-play. Gray struck-out seven.

Tanner Peters got the start for Stockton and had one bad inning, allowing four runs in the second. He allowed the four runs and six hits in four innings.

The River Cats and Ports both begin their 2013 regular seasons on Thursday.
