Clint Robinson certainly seems intent on picking up where he left off in 2010, when he won the Texas League Triple Crown with the Double-A NW Arkansas Naturals. After a solid April for the Storm Chasers, the 26-year-old first baseman exploded in May, hitting .366/.467/.584 with five home runs and 20 RBIs. Robinson had 12 multi-hit games during the month, and he now ranks among the Pacific Coast League's Top 10 in home runs (12), on-base percentage (.443), and slugging percentage (.621). On the season, the Troy alum is hitting a robust .352 with 25 extra base hits in 182 at bats.

There was fierce competition with several pitchers turning in excellent months, but nobody in the system was better in May than Kane County's Greg Billo. The 20-year-old right-hander was sensational, posting a 3-1 record with a microscopic 0.91 ERA. In 29.2 innings, Billo fanned 29 batters and walked just five while holding Midwest League opponents to a .192 batting average. In his first exposure to full season ball, the 2008 28th-rounder now ranks fifth in all of minor league baseball with a 1.42 ERA, and his performance last month was one of the biggest reasons for Kane County's recent surge.
