AAA: Omaha 2, Salt Lake City 1

W: Federico Castaneda (2-0, 4.20)

Three Omaha pitchers combined to allow one run on two hits, leading the O-Royals to a 2-1 victory over the Salt Lake Bees. Jorge Campillo, recently called up from extended spring training, was perfect through nine batters. He was then replaced by Federico Castaneda, who allowed one run and two hits in five innings of work. Greg Holland then replaced Castaneda in the ninth, recording his second save of the season.

Omaha was quiet at the plate, as a double by David Lough and an RBI single by Kurt Mertins were the only hits for the Royals. Omaha struck for two runs in the seventh, when Alex Gordon and Kila Ka'aihue lead off the inning with walks. Jordan Parraz then laid down a sacrifice bunt, putting both men in scoring position. A groundout by Scott Thorman drove in Gordon, and Mertins' two-out single drove in Ka'aihue.

The win gives Omaha a split in the series against Salt Lake. The O-Royals continue their homestand on Monday when they kick off a four-game series against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox.
