Minor League Round Up: July

The Dodgers may have to turn to their farm system to boost their chances of October success. With the struggles of George Sherrill, bullpen help must come soon. Tyson Qualls highlights the happenings of the Farm System for July.

Kenley Jansen is Headed to the Show:

Dodgers management is hoping that the mid-season call up of top prospect Kenley Jansen will be a steadying force for the stretch run. Jansen has been impressive of late, earning a spot on the Major League roster. Jansen is 5-1 with a 1.60 ERA this season and he has played well with both the Inland Empire squad and Chattanooga. He has also struck out 78 batters in only 45 innings pitched.

To make room for Jansen, Justin Miller was designated for assignment. Miller had 30 strike outs and eight walks, with a 4.44 ERA in 24.1 innings pitched for the Dodgers.
