Scouting Report

Russell is one of the most complete players in this draft class. He looks to have the plus arm and range to stick at shortstop, but his bat is what stands out. He shows plus bat speed and flashes big power to the middle of the field. His swing is level and compact, and he looks confident in driving the ball to right-center field. We'll see how his in-game hit tool develops, but he's as close as it gets to a five tool type player.
