Scouting Report

Roache is a strong, physical player who is relying on his strength and athleticism right now. He's as strong as any draft eligible player out there and is already very physically mature. Roache works from a spread stance at the plate and creates a lot of lift. There's some moving parts to his swing as well, but so far it hasn't hurt him. Roache showed good pitch selection on the Cape and was able to pick out fastballs in the zone to drive. He also showed some good routes in the outfield and some decent foot speed. But, he's a potential first rounder on the strength of his bat and plus power potential. He's still erratic at the plate and will swing and miss, but he's a potential 35 home run bat in the big leagues.
