Scouting Report

The intriguing aspect of Lafferty's game is his fastball. He shows a live arm from the left side, working at 90-93 mph with good life down in the zone. The ball comes out relatively easy but command is an issue with this pitch. He has trouble getting to his glove side of the zone and makes mistakes over the plate to righty hitters

Lafferty's secondary pitches also need a lot of work. He shows a loopy breaking ball, which right now grades out below average, at 75-78 mph. His changeup flashed average potential, but was also highly inconsistent at 78-82 mph. The key for Lafferty will be to develop his fastball command and go from there.
