Physical Description

Seager fits the mold of the modern star infielder. He's long, athletic and only figures to get stronger in the coming years. The projection when it comes to his frame is one of the more impressive parts of his game

The hit tool has just gotten better and better for Seager in the last year. He does have some mechanical issues, like his unconventional hand load, that will have to be ironed out at the next level, but his bat speed has made up for some of those shortcomings. The ball jumps off his bat and he looks like a potential .300 hitter in the big leagues.

Seager's power is coming on fast and only figures to get better as he matures physically. He shows 55 raw power before the games and eventually I expect that to carry over into game action.

You could make the case that defense is the strongest part of Seager's game. He has plus-plus range as well as a plus throwing arm for third base. There's a chance he could play shortstop, but he'll likely just outgrow the position.

Seager is a plus runner. If he stays that way as he gets bigger remains to be seen.

There are tools across the board when it comes to Seager. His defense will carry him a long way on its own, but the upside with the bat make him a potential star as a professional.
