Kevin Gausman

Position: Pitcher
School: LSU
Height: 6-foot-4
Weight: 185
Bats/Throws: L/R

Expert's Take:

The stuff is just about as good as you'll find in college baseball from Gausman. He'll sit 93-95 mph with the fastball and I've had him up to 97. His high leg kick gives him some deception, an aspect of his game that has gone a little underrated. He's not an entirely comfortable at-bat for a hitter. To go with his plus fastball, he commands his plus breaking ball very well also. In other words, he's going to miss bats pretty consistently as a pro.

- Frankie Piliere

Scout Quote:

"The delivery is pretty good, the arm has been live all spring and he's been up to 98. With his ability to command and then locate his breaking ball, you've got a guy who could be pretty good pretty quickly as a pro."

Ceiling: #2 Starter (7)
