Kyle Zimmer

Position: Pitcher
School: San Francisco
Height: 6-foot-4
Weight: 220
Bats/Throws: R/R

Expert's Take:

Zimmer was among the most impressive pitchers in the nation that I saw last summer. This year, though, he just stepped it up another notch. He sits 92-96 mph with fastball and bumped 98-99 early on in the spring. To me, he's far more than velocity. He's a great overall athlete, and that's something that goes under appreciated at times. He locates three above average offerings and that's the formula for an ace in the big leagues.

- Frankie Piliere

Scout Quote:

"This guy came out this spring commanding three above average pitches. He really took the next step. It's not just about the velocity. He's an outstanding athlete and he put himself at the next level."
