BERKELEY -- 2011 Pac-10 Player of the Year Tony Renda returned to his alma mater, California, on Friday for the Golden Bears' Pro Day, and showed off the quick hands he's known for during an extended batting practice session.

Renda made his Major League debut this season for the Cincinnati Reds, appearing in 32 games with 67 plate appearances. He hit .183 in his first big league stint, and will start next season at Triple-A Louisville, after being outrighted in December. Renda was joined by fellow 2011 College World Series team members Matt Flemer (Colorado Rockies), Mitch Delfino (San Francisco Giants), Andrew Knapp (Philadelphia Phillies) and Marcus Semien (Oakland Athletics).
