Toledo jumped out to an early lead on Saturday afternoon in Columbus, but couldn't hold the lead and then saw the Clippers run away as the Hens fell 10-4. Duane Below got the start, giving up three runs on six hits in five innings of work. He also walked three and struck out two. Ramon Garcia came on in relief and got hammered, giving up five runs on seven hits in two innings to take the loss. Matt Hoffman would also allow a pair of unearned runs after that to complete the scoring. Toledo got their early lead in the first thanks to a sacrifice fly from Scott Thorman and then an RBI single by Ryan Strieby that plated Andy Dirks and Scott Sizemore. Omir Santos also hit a sac fly in the second that scored Danny Worth. Thorman would drive in the other run later in the game.

The Flying Tigers picked up another win on Saturday as they remain tied for first in the North division. Victor Larez got the start and the win for Lakeland, turning in a quality start as he went six innings, allowed three runs and struck out three. Tony Plagman continued his assault on Florida State League pitching, going 4-for-5 with two doubles and four runs driven in. Avisail Garcia also chipped in with a pair of hits and a pair of RBI and Wade Gaynor added three hits including two doubles and scored three times. Kenny Faulk allowed a run but still picked up his third save of the year.

Both West Michigan and Erie were rained out on Saturday; both will attempt to make up the game as part of a doubleheader on Sunday.
