The SeaWolves lost their battle with Reading on Tuesday evening, falling 8-6. L.J. Gagnier got the start and a no decision, giving up four runs in six innings of work. Austin Wood took the loss, giving up a pair of unearned runs which enabled the Phillies to take the lead for good. Cory Hamilton also had a rough outing as well, giving up two more runs on three hits while recording just one out. At the plate, Bryan Pounds went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, while Jeff Kunkel went 3-for-4 with three RBI. Justin Henry also added three hits including a double and an RBI.

The Flying Tigers claimed sole possession of first place in the division on Tuesday with an 8-6 triumph over Dunedin. Cole Nelson got plenty of run support in earning the win, his first of the year. He gave up four runs in 5 1/3 innings of work, yielding five hits and walking five but also striking out three. After a pair of unearned runs, Kenny Faulk pitched the ninth for his fourth save of the year. Wade Gaynor helped lead the way on offense, belting a two run homer in his 2-for-5 day. Tony Plagman also added two hits, two runs and an RBI, and Avisail Garcia went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI.
