May 19th Games
AAA Toledo Mud Hens - Charlotte 10, Toledo 2
20-22, 3rd in West Division
The Mud Hens road trip is coming to a disappointing conclusion as Toledo fell to Charlotte 10-2. Andy Oliver got the start and took the loss but didn't have a horrible outing, giving up four runs in six innings of work, walking three and striking out five. Lester Oliveros however had a rough go of it, giving up four runs on four hits in his inning of work. Enrique Gonzalez yielded the final two runs in his inning to complete the scoring. At the plate, things were quiet as the Hens managed just five hits. Scott Thorman had the only extra base hit of the night, a double while driving in a run. Danny Worth also chipped in with two hits.

A+ Lakeland Flying Tigers – Jupiter 5, Lakeland 4
20-21, 4th in North Division
Lakeland fell again to Jupiter on Thursday, losing 5-4 after yielding a run in the top of the ninth. However, the results from the game were secondary in concern to the well-being of Jordan Pratt, who was hit by a line drive, reportedly just above the temple. The game was paused for 30 minutes as Pratt was cared to and eventually taken to the hospital. Reports from the field indicate however that he never lost consciousness and gave a thumbs up as he was wheeled out of the stadium on a stretcher. Additional reports indicate after being examined that he suffered a slight fracture and was bleeding, but was stable. Trevor Feeney got the start, giving up a pair of runs in 6 1/3 innings of work. Ryan Robowski took the loss for allowing the go-ahead run in his 1 1/3 innings of work. Avisail Garcia ripped a double and a triple and scored a run for the club, while Gustavo Nunez also added a triple and scored once.

The VSL Tigers pitching staff turned in a strong outing in game two, unfortunately the offense couldn't match that as the club lost to the VSL Phillies 1-0. Carlos Alvarado got the start, tossing five shutout innings for the club. Eduardo Rojas would take the loss, allowing an unearned run in his 1 2/3 innings of work for the only run scored of the game.
