AAA Toledo Mud Hens - Toledo 5, Rochester 0
25-28, 3rd in West Division
Thad Weber turned in a great start as the Mud Hens shut out Rochester 5-0. Weber earned the win for tossing seven shutout innings, scattering seven hits while walking one and striking out five. Matt Hoffman pitched the final two innings, not allowing a hit or a walk to complete the shutout. At the plate, the long ball led the way with Timo Perez and Bryan Pounds each belting solo shots, and Clete Thomas adding a two run blast.
AA Erie Seawolves - GM1: Erie 3, Binghamton 1
GM2: Binghamton 3, Erie 2
23-27, 6th in Western Division
The SeaWolves split their doubleheader with Binghamton on Tuesday, taking the first game 3-1 but falling by a run in the second, 3-2. In the first game, the 'Wolves got some strong pitching from Jay Voss as he allowed just one run on two hits in 5 1/3 innings of work. He also walked three and struck out four. Zach Simons recorded the final four outs with a strikeout to pick up the save. Jamie Johnson had two hits and drove in two runs, while John Murrian added a hit and an RBI. In the second game, a trio of relievers took the mound, with Jared Gayhart allowing two runs in 2 2/3 innings, but then Rob Waite tossed 3 2/3 innings of shutout relief. The game was tied at two and extra innings were forced, but Austin Wood gave up the go-ahead run and took the loss. The offense managed just three hits, with Audy Ciriaco ripping a triple and scoring a run for the team's only extra base hit.
A+ Lakeland Flying Tigers – Lakeland 13, Fort Myers 2
27-25, 4th in North Division
The Flying Tigers came back from their day off in a big way with a 13-2 win over Fort Myers. Cole Nelson got the start and earned the win, giving up a run in six innings of work. But the story was at the plate, especially Avisail Garcia, who had a monster game, going 4-for-5 including a home run, scoring twice and driving in four runs. Wade Gaynor also added a double and a home run and drove in two runs, while Gustavo Nunez fell a home run shy of the cycle as he reached base five times (three hits and two walks), drove in two runs and scored twice. Corey Jones also chipped in with four hits, scored twice and drove in a run.
A West Michigan Whitecaps - Quad Cities 5, West Michigan 4
21-31, 8th in Eastern division
The Whitecaps dropped another one-run game on Tuesday, seeing a comeback attempt come up just short. Trailing 3-2 heading into the eighth inning, Dixon Machado ripped a triple and then got sacrificed home by Luis Castillo to tie the score. Unfortunately, reliever Bruce Rondon allowed a pair of runs in the ninth to fall back by two. Nick Castellanos walked in the ninth and eventually came around to score on a Ryan Hamme single, but Hamme would be stranded as the tying run on first base as the 'Caps fell. Kevin Eichhorn got the start, allowing three unearned runs in 6 1/3 innings of work. Rob Brantly also added a two run homer.

The DSL Tigers game with the DSL Braves was suspended due to rain on Tuesday.
R VSL Tigers - Phillies 9, Tigers 6
4-8, 6th in VSL
The VSL Tigers fell 9-6 to the VSL Phillies on Tuesday. Carlos Alvarado got the start and took a no decision, allowing five runs in five innings of work. Eduardo Rojas tossed three strong innings of relief, allowing just one run, but then Jose Tablante allowed three runs in his 1 1/3 innings to fall behind for good. David Gonzalez added two doubles and scored twice from the top of the order. Anderson Yance also added a home run and drove in two runs, as did Harold Castro.
