AAA Toledo Mud Hens - Toledo 8, Columbus 6
37-53, 4th in West Division
Toledo picked up a win over Columbus by a score of 8-6 on Friday night. Brayan Villarreal got the start and his first win with Toledo, giving up four runs (three earned) in six innings of work. He also walked two and struck out three. Brad Thomas had a rough relief outing, giving up a pair of runs while recording just one out, but Daniel Schlereth tossed 1 2/3 innings of shutout baseball, and Chance Ruffin sealed the deal in the ninth for his third save. At the plate, Timo Perez went 3-for-4 with a double, a run scored and two RBI. Clete Thomas also added a two run homer, Ryan Strieby drove in two runs, and Carlos Guillen had a hit, a walk, a run and an RBI.
AA Erie Seawolves - Akron 4, Erie 1
42-45, 5th in Western Division
The SeaWolves fell to Akron 4-1. Jay Voss got the start and took the loss but didn't have a bad start, giving up four runs in 6 1/3 innings with a walk and six strikeouts. Austin Wood, Tyler Stohr and Jared Gayhart combined to keep Akron off the board the rest of the game, but the Erie offense couldn't mount a comeback. Brandon Douglas drove in Bryan Pounds for the team's lone run, as they managed just four singles.
A+ Lakeland Flying Tigers – Postponed: Rain
5-7, 6th in North Division
Lakeland was postponed again on Friday night. They will play a doubleheader starting at 5PM on Saturday evening.
A West Michigan Whitecaps - Lansing 2, West Michigan 1
8-7, t-3rd in Eastern division
West Michigan dropped a close one to Lansing on Friday night, falling 2-1. Kyle Ryan got the start and pitched well but took the loss, allowing both runs in 6 2/3 innings of work. He also walked one and struck out four. Michael Torrealba pitched the remaining 1 1/3 innings. At the plate, Rob Brantly drove in Hernan Perez, who went 3-for-4 on the day, including a triple. James Robbins also had two hits for the team.

Connecticut's game with Staten Island has been postponed.
R GCL Tigers - Suspended: Rain

R DSL Tigers - Tigers 5, Braves 2
10-22, 4th in DSL SPM Division
The DSL Tigers picked up a 5-2 win over the DSL Braves on Friday. Adrian Paniagua got the start and allowed just one unearned run in five innings of work with no walks and five strikeouts. Pedro Aybar then tossed two scoreless innings of relief, before Rafael Manzanillo gave up a run while recording just one out - Jose Valdez then came on and got the final five outs, four via strikeout, to pick up the save. At the plate, Javier Romero ripped a double and a triple, scored twice and drove in a run. Samuel Ortiz also added two hits and an RBI, while Samuel Crafort added two doubles.
R VSL Tigers - Reds 6, Tigers 5
16-29, 6th in VSL
The VSL Tigers came up just short on Friday, falling to the VSL Reds 6-5. Cruz Cedeno got the start, giving up two runs in five innings of work and taking a no decision. Jairo Sanchez gave up three runs in 1 2/3 innings, but it was Jose Tablante who would take the loss and the blown save for giving up the go-ahead run in his 2 1/3 innings. Jesus Alvarado ripped a double and drove in three runs for the team, with Daniel Carranza going 2-for-3 and ripping a two run homer.
