AAA Toledo Mud Hens - Toledo 11, Indianapolis 5
54-62, 4th in West Division
Andy Oliver didn't have a great game but still got the win for Toledo, giving up five runs (three earned) on 11 hits in 5 2/3 innings with five walks and six strikeouts. Ryan Perry pitched the final 3 1/3 innings, allowing just two hits to earn a save. The bottom of the lineup carried the way as far as producing runs is concerned, as Max St. Pierre belted a grand slam, while Clete Thomas went 2-for-4 with a double, scoring three times and driving in three. Argenis Diaz also had a hit and two RBI. Ben Guez also went 3-for-5 with a double and scored twice.
AA Erie Seawolves - Harrisburg 6, Erie 1
55-59, 5th in Western Division
Brooks Brown took the loss for Erie, giving up four runs on seven hits in six innings of work, but he did strike out nine and walked none. Luis Marte tossed the final three innings, allowing the final two runs. The offense though was relatively quiet, with Audy Ciriaco supplying the only run via a solo homer. Justin Henry also went 2-for-4 with a double.
A+ Lakeland Flying Tigers – Suspended: Rain
18-22, 6th in North Division
Lakeland and Brevard County were suspended on Sunday due to rain; they'll finish up the game as part of a doubleheader on Monday.
A West Michigan Whitecaps - West Michigan 6, Great Lakes 3
23-19, t-3rd in Eastern division
Kevin Eichhorn picked up the win for the Whitecaps, his ninth of the season, going 6 2/3 innings, allowing two runs and striking out five. Ryan Woolley pitched two innings of relief, allowing one unearned run while striking out three to pick up the save. Jason Krizan belted a two run home run, while Curtis Casali added two doubles, scored once and drove in three.
SS-A Connecticut Tigers - Postponed: Rain
20-27, 3rd in Stedler Division
Connecticut's game with Lowell was postponed due to rain. They'll finish up their series on Monday at 7:05pm.
