Inge Makes 1st Rehab Appearance (4/10 Recaps)

Playing the first game of his rehab assignment, Brandon Inge went 1-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and a strikeout as the DH as the Mud Hens broke a three-game losing streak. Thad Weber threw five scoreless innings, giving up three hits and one walk while striking out eight and picking up the win. Audy Ciriaco went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in the seventh inning to put Toledo up 3-0.

AA Erie Seawolves
2-3, T-5th in Eastern Division

Bryan Pounds went 2-for-3 with two home runs and three RBIs to power the SeaWolves to a win. His first home run put Erie up 2-0 in the fourth inning and his second was a solo shot to put Erie up 4-1, giving them some more breathing room. James Avery threw five scoreless innings, giving up just three hits and picking up the win. He also walked three and struck out three. Jared Gayhart walked four and gave up an earned run out of the bullpen in the sixth, but still was credited with a hold.

High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers
3-2, 3rd in North Division

Shawn Teufel gave up four runs (three earned) in four innings, blowing a 3-0 lead and picking up the loss. In the top of the fourth, Tuefel allowed a single, home run, triple and single, which tied the game. In the top of the fifth, he allowed a runner who reached on a throwing error to score and give Brevard County the lead. Wade Gaynor went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Nick Castellanos went 1-for-2 with an RBI before leaving the game in the fifth inning. It is unclear why he left the game.

Low-A West Michigan Whitecaps
3-2, T-2nd in Eastern Division

West Michigan 4 11 1

Colin Kaline hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth to give the Whitecaps their third straight win. West Michigan took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the first and led until the top of the ninth, when Daniel Bennett gave up two runs in the ninth and allowed Bowling Green to tie the game. It was Bennett's second blown save of the season. But Kaline's walk-off gave him the win. Dean Green went 4-for-4 and Aaron Westlake went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
