Thad Weber gave up four earned runs over six innings to record his first loss of the season. Quintin Berry was the only Mud Hen to have multiple hits, going 2-for-4 with a run scored. Matt Young went 1-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs. Rob Waite gave up one earned run in two innings of relief.

Ramon Garcia gave up six earned runs over five innings, digging a hole Erie couldn't completely climb out of. Garcia gave up four runs in the first innings and one in each of the next two innings. Tony Plagman went 1-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs. Jordan Lennerton went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Erie scored three runs in the seventh to cut the deficit to one run, but couldn't tie it up.

High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers
14-12, 2nd in North Division

Kevin Eichhorn gave up one earned run over 6 2/3 innings to move to 3-1 on the season. Ryan Woolley gave up two hits over 2 1/3 scoreless innings to pick up the save. Luis Castillo went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored. Marcus Lemon went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs scored. Nick Castellanos went 1-for-3, which actually lowered his season average to .423.

Low-A West Michigan Whitecaps
14-14, 5th in Eastern Division

Nicholas Avila gave up a sac fly in the top of the 12th and ended up with the loss. West Michigan led 2-0 heading into the eighth, but Warwick Saupold gave up two unearned runs in the inning to record a blown save. Last year's fourth-round pick, Jason King, went 1-for-5 with a solo home run. Chad Wright went 5-for-6 with a triple and an RBI. Wright was the only Whitecap with multiple hits and nearly recorded as many hits as the rest of his teammates.
