Adam Wilk gave up just two runs in six innings, but the Toledo offense was quiet again and the Mud Hens lost for the seventh time in eight games. Wilk gave up four hits and struck out seven. Ben Guez went 1-for-4 with a double, while Audy Ciriaco went 1-for-4 with an RBI.

Mark Sorensen gave up five runs (three earned) in just 1/3 of an inning as Reading scored six in the seventh to turn a 6-1 deficit into a 7-6 lead. Michael Morrison gave up two earned runs in 1 2/3 innings and picked up the loss. Kevin De La Cruz allowed just two hits and one earned run over six innings in the start. Rawley Bishop went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, while Jordan Lennerton went 1-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored.

High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers
23-22, 3rd in North Division

Brian Stroud allowed five earned runs in five innings in a seven-inning loss. No Flying Tiger had multiple hits. Marcus Lemon went 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored, while Nick Castellanos went 1-for-3 with an RBI.

21-26, 7th in Eastern Division

Marcelo Carreno gave up five runs (four earned) in six innings to drop to 0-4 on the season. Aaron Westlake went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBIs and a run scored and Jason Krizan went 2-for-4 wih two RBIs, but the pitching struggled. Melvin Mercedes gave up three earned runs in two innings of relief and Warwick Saupold allowed two runs (one earned) in the ninth inning.

Eliezer Castillo went 2-for-3 with a double, and RBI and two runs scored to lead the Tigers. Jose Rodriguez pitched five scoreless innings, allowing three hits and three walks. Javier Betancourt went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Luis Cedeno gave up one run in the final 2 1/3 inning of relief and recorded the save.
