Four Toledo pitchers combined to allow seven hits over nine scoreless innings. Brooks Brown gave up just three hits in the start, but lasted four innings. Rob Waite gave up three hits over the next 2 1/3 innings and picked up the win. Chris Bootcheck allowed one walk in the ninth and picked up his 10th save. Eric Patterson went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, while Bryan Holaday went 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Zack Segovia gave up seven earned runs on seven hits over 4 1/3 innings to drop to 5-5 on the season. Out of the bullpen, Kenny Faulk allowed two earned runs in 2/3 of an inning, while Mark Sorensen gave up two earned runs in 1 1/3 innings. At the plate, Jordan Lennerton went 2-for-4, while Bryan Pounds went 2-for-3.

Brian Flynn gave up six earned runs over five innings in the start, picking up the loss. Any chance of a comeback was dashed when Guido Knudson gave up seven earned runs pitching 2/3 of the bottom of the eighth. Nick Castellanos went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, while James McCann went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored.

25-29, 6th in Eastern Division

The Whitecaps scored four in the top of the ninth for a wild comeback win. In the inning, Curt Casali doubled home two runs and was later scored on a triple from Aaron Westlake. A double by Jason King with one out scored Westlake, the winning run. Casali went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored, while King went 2-for-4 with the game-winning double. Kyle Ryan gave up five runs (four earned) over 4 2/3 innings in the start. Nicholas Avila allowed one earned run in 3 1/3 innings of relief and picked up the win. Jade Todd threw a perfect ninth for his first save of the season.
