Thad Weber gave up five runs and couldn't make it out of the second inning, dropping to 4-5 on the season. Weber allowed three hits and three walks. Brad Eldred hit his 24th home run of the season, going 1-for-4. Rob Brantly went 2-for-4. Ryan Robowski gave up one earned run in 4 2/3 innings of relief.

Two wild pitches in the 10th inning let James Robbins go from second to scoring, and Bruce Rondon pitched a perfect bottom frame for his 13th save of the season. Robbins went 2-for-4. Tyler Collins went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored, while Avisail Garcia went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Brian Stroud gave up one earned run over five innings in the start. The game went to extras because Matt Little allowed four earned runs without recording an out in the eighth inning.
Low-A West Michigan Whitecaps

Steven Moya went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored to lead West Michigan to its 11th win in 14 games. Kyle Ryan gave up six earned runs in 7 1/3 innings, but picked up the win. Jeff Holm went 1-for-3 with three RBIs and a run scored, while Curt Casali went 1-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs. Nicholas Avila allowed three hits, but no runs in the final 1 2/3 innings.
