Andrew Oliver gave up four earned runs on seven hits over six innings and dropped to 4-6 on the season. Oliver walked two and struck out four. Alex Avila went 0-for-2 with a strikeout in the first game of his rehab stint. Ben Guez went 1-for-3 with a home run, two RBIs and a run scored. Chris Bootcheck gave up two runs in the ninth inning.

In the first game of the second half, Tyler Collins went 3-for-4 with two runs scored. Luis Angel Sanz allowed three earned runs over six innings in the start. Matt Crouse allowed two hits over two innings and picked up the win. Bruce Rondon pitched a perfect ninth with two strikeouts for his 15th save. Wade Gaynor went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer. A sacrifice fly from Luis Castillo scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh.

Anderson Yance doubled home the winning run as the Tigers scored two in the bottom of the ninth. Yance's hit came after a failed attempt at stealing home. The tying run was scored on an RBI-single from Gabriel Tenia. Anthony Castro allowed five runs (four earned) over five innings in the start. Julio Sanchez picked up the win after pitching a scoreless ninth. Orvin Tovar went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, two RBIs and two runs scored, while Javier Betancourt went 4-for-5 with a double and two runs scored.
