Jacob Turner threw a three-hit shutout to move to 4-2 on the season. Turner struck out six and walked none. At the plate, Justin Henry went 3-for-5, while Bryan Pounds went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. The Mud Hens went 2-for-15 with runners in scoring position and left 11 on base, but won their third straight, thanks to Turner.

Robbie Weinhardt allowed the game-tying run in the ninth, followed by two in the 10th and picked up the loss. Kelvin De La Cruz went 5 2/3 innings in the start and gave up two earned runs on eight hits. Avisail Garcia went 2-for-4 with an RBI, while Niuman Romero went 2-for-5 with a run scored. The SeaWolves left 10 runners on base.

High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers
8-6, T-2nd in North Division

Tyler Collins went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer to lead the Flying Tigers. Luis Sanz gave up three earned runs over six innings and picked up the win. Curt Casali went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs, while James Robbins went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Matt Crouse gave up two runs in the ninth, but recorded the save.

Low-A West Michigan Whitecaps
8-8, T-5th in Eastern Division

Wilsen Palacios allowed four earned runs over six innings and picked up the loss without much help from the offense. Edgar Corcino had half of West Michigan's offense, going 3-for-4. Warwick Saupold pitched three scoreless innings of relief.

Edgar De La Rosa gave up five runs (four earned) over 4 1/3 innings, and the Tigers couldn't overcome five errors. Danry Vasquez went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer for all of the Connecticut scoring. Bennett Pickar went 2-for-4 with a double. Three relievers pitched 3 2/3 scoreless innings.

Gabriel Tenia singled home two runs in the top of the ninth, and the Tigers gave up one run in the bottom frame, but held on for the win. Tenia went 2-for-3 with a double. Anthony Castro gave up one hit over five scoreless innings in the start. Julio Sanchez picked up the win, recording the final out of the eighth. Edgar Pina allowed the one earned run in the ninth on three hits and a walk, but recorded the save.

Jose Valdez pitched a perfect ninth for the save.
