AAA Toledo Mud Hens
39-59, 3rd in West Division
Chris Bootcheck allowed two earned runs in the bottom of the ninth, recording a blown save and a loss. Bootcheck gave up three hits and one walk, while recording just one out. He came in because the Mud Hens rallied for four in the top of the ninth on a grand slam from Danny Dorn to take a one-run lead. Casey Crosby allowed five earned runs over six innings in the start. Dorn went 3-for-5 with the home run, a double, five RBIs and two runs scored.
AA Erie Seawolves
45-51, T-5th in Eastern Division
Erie's game at Altoona was postponed. The teams will play a doubleheader on Friday.
High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers
15-10, T-2nd in North Division
Luis Sanz allowed one earned run over six innings to move to 7-3 on the season. Daniel Fields went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored, while Hernan Perez went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Matt Crouse pitched a scoreless ninth for the save.
Low-A West Michigan Whitecaps
14-12, T-4th in Eastern Division
Wilsen Palacios gave up two earned runs over five-plus innings and picked up his 11th win of the season. Aaron Westlake went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored, while Chad Wright went 2-for-5 with two RBIs. The Whitecaps went 2-for-14 with runners in scoring position and left 11 on base. Melvin Mercedes pitched a perfect ninth for the save.
13-18, 3rd in New York-Penn League Stedler
Endrys Briceno allowed two hits over six scoreless innings and picked up the win. Briceno walked two and struck out five. Juaner Aguasvivas went 2-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored, while Patrick Smith went 1-for-4 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored.
Anthony Castro gave up five runs (one earned) over five innings and recorded the loss. He gave up the four unearned runs in the third inning as his defense committed three errors in the frame. At the plate, Steven Fuentes went 2-for-4 with a run scored, while Franklin Navarro went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
15-20, T-4th in San Pedro de Macoris
The Tigers were off on Thursday.
19-9, T-1st in GCL North
In the first game of the doubleheader, Yorfrank Lopez allowed one earned run over 4 1/3 innings in the start, but Julio Felix picked up the win after giving up two earned runs in 2 1/3 innings of relief. Jesus Ustariz went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs, while Harold Castro went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.
In the second game, Joshua Carr picked up the loss despite allowing just one earned run over 5 1/3 innings. The Tigers left nine on base and went 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position. Ismael Salgado went 2-for-4.
