Chris Bootcheck allowed two earned runs in the bottom of the ninth, recording a blown save and a loss. Bootcheck gave up three hits and one walk, while recording just one out. He came in because the Mud Hens rallied for four in the top of the ninth on a grand slam from Danny Dorn to take a one-run lead. Casey Crosby allowed five earned runs over six innings in the start. Dorn went 3-for-5 with the home run, a double, five RBIs and two runs scored.

Luis Sanz allowed one earned run over six innings to move to 7-3 on the season. Daniel Fields went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored, while Hernan Perez went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Matt Crouse pitched a scoreless ninth for the save.

Aaron Westlake went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored, while Chad Wright went 2-for-5 with two RBIs. The Whitecaps went 2-for-14 with runners in scoring position and left 11 on base. Melvin Mercedes pitched a perfect ninth for the save.

Jesus Ustariz went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs, while Harold Castro went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.
