John Lindsey went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and two runs scored to lead Toledo at the plate. Duane Below gave up five earned runs over 6 1/3 innings in the start, but recorded the win. Bruce Rondon pitched a perfect ninth for the save. Danny Dorn went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run.
AA Erie Seawolves
57-83, 6th in Eastern Division
James Avery allowed four earned runs over 6 1/3 innings in the start and picked up the loss. Tyler Clark allowed four runs (two earned) and didn't record an out in relief. Jamie Johnson went 2-for-3 with a run scored, while Daniel Fields went 1-for-3.
High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers
37-29, 1st in North Division
Dean Green went 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs as the Flying Tigers closed out the regular season having earned a postseason berth as the North division second half champion. Cesar Carrillo pitched six scoreless innings in the start, allowing three hits and earning the win. Michael Rockett went 2-for-4, while Luis Castillo went 1-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored.
Low-A West Michigan Whitecaps
36-33, T-4th in Eastern Division
Jeff Ferrell allowed three earned runs over five innings in the start and recorded the win. Chad Wright went 3-for-5 with a double and a run scored, while Zach Maggard went 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Michael Torrealba pitched a scoreless ninth for the save.
34-38, 2nd in New York-Penn League Stedler
A fielder's choice from Jake Stewart scored Jordan Dean to give Connecticut the win. Danry Vasquez went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, while Stewart went 2-for-4 with a triple and the RBI. Montreal Robertson pitched five scoreless innings in the start, while Josh Turley allowed a run in the eighth and ninth innings for a blown save, but he ended up with the win.
