Toledo couldn't generate much offense in Thursday's matchup against Pawtucket, getting shutout in a loss to the Red Sox. Erie also fell to Richmond in a low-scoring game. Lakeland topped Dunedin behind a strong outing from Kyle Ryan while West Michigan struggled offensively against Dayton. Connecticut couldn't generate offense against Vermont and the VSL Tigers lost a lopsided game.

Toledo was able to put up hits in Thursday's game against Pawtucket but could not generate runs as the Mud Hens fell to the Red Sox 3-0. Starting pitcher Kyle Lobstein earned his first loss of the season in his Toledo debut, allowing two earned runs on five hits over five innings. Argenis Diaz was the only Toledo hitter to go for extra bases, going 2-for-3 with a double in the loss.

Erie lost a 1-1 tie in Thursday's game against Richmond by allowing two runs in the sixth inning as the SeaWolves fell to the Flying Squirrels 3-1. Starting pitcher Jon Link fell to 0-1 with the loss after allowing two earned runs on 10 hits in seven innings. Hernan Perez drove in the lone run for Erie, going 1-for-4 with an RBI in the loss.

Lakeland ended a scoreless tie with four runs in the fourth inning of Thursday's game against Dunedin as the Flying Tigers topped the Blue Jays 6-2. Starting pitcher Kyle Ryan improved his record to 7-5 with the win, shutting out Dunedin on seven hits over six innings while striking out five. Steven Moya gave Lakeland a boost at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a triple and three runs driven in in the win.

West Michigan did little to get the offense going in Thursday's game against Dayton, putting up only five hits and getting shut out as the Whitecaps fell to the Dragons 5-0. Jake Thompson was strong in his start in earning the no decision, shutting out the Dragons on four hits over five innings. Calvin Drummond earned his first loss of the season in relief. Devon Travis and Jeff Holm each went 2-for-3 in the win.

Connecticut and Vermont were locked in a pitcher's duel as Vermont's one run scored in the first inning was enough to earn the win, topping the Tigers 1-0. Starting pitcher Jonathon Crawford earned his first loss of the season despite a strong outing, allowing one unearned run on three hits over three innings. Dominic Ficociello accounted for most of Connecticut's offense, going 2-for-3 in the loss.
