ANALYSIS: Avisail Garcia was demoted to Triple-A this week but promoted to the number one spot on this list after two strong outings in his return to the Mud Hens. Garcia is clearly progressing well within the organization and could be moving into an everyday role with Detroit in the next few years.

2. 2B Devon Travis

ANALYSIS: Devon Travis falls a spot this week mostly due to limited opportunities since being promoted to Lakeland. He is, however, still hitting the ball well and could easily move back up into the number one spot if his play stays at the same pace it has held all season.

3.OF Nick Castellanos

ANALYSIS: Nick Castellanos falls a spot this week after struggling at the plate a bit. Castellanos' production has still been solid but he'll quickly be playing second fiddle to Garcia in the lineup if his hitting doesn't improve.

4.RHP Jon Link

ANALYSIS: Jon Link has stormed onto the scene in a big way over the last week, earning two wins and giving up just two earned runs to move into the top five on this list. Link was brought up to replace Kyle Lobstein after Lobstein's promotion and has filled in nicely so far.

5.LHP Kyle Ryan

ANALYSIS: Kyle Ryan breaks into the top five once again this week after another strong outing in which he only gave up two hits and earned his eighth win of the season. Ryan has been a little up and down over the past two months but is starting to show some signs of consistency, meaning he could continue to climb this list very quickly.

6.2B Hernan Perez

ANALYSIS: Hernan Perez moves up a few spots this week after reappearing on the list a week ago. While consistency has been an issue with Perez this season he has seemingly started to find a rhythm at the plate, which will bode well for him as he looks to catch the eye of the organization.

7.1B Jeff Holm

West Michigan

.282

.358

ANALYSIS: Jeff Holm falls four spots this week after playing less-than-stellar baseball since Travis' departure. While Holm is still the best hitter in West Michigan's lineup right now, he'll need to do quite a bit more if the Whitecaps have any hope of moving up in the division this season.

8.1B Jordan Lennerton

Team

AVG

OBP

Toledo

.305

.409

ANALYSIS: Jordan Lennerton fell two spots this week although his production mostly held steady. Lennerton is play for Team USA in the Futures Game next week which will hopefully give him a bit of motivation for a big second half, translating into a big second half for the Mud Hens.

9.LHP Alex Phillips

Team

W/L

ERA

WHIP

Connecticut

1-0

1.56

11

1.27

ANALYSIS: Alex Phillips fell five spots this week after a rough start last week in which he gave up two runs in less than three innings and earned a no decision. Phillips' rough start could be simply a minor setback or a sign of things to come for a pitcher who struggled with West Michigan earlier in the season.

10.3B Mike Cervenak

HR

RBI

OBP

Toledo

.296

.338

ANALYSIS: Mike Cervenak rounds out the top 10 after falling five spots this week. Like many of Toledo's hitters, Cervenak has been in a slump recently. Cervenak holds onto a spot in the top 10 mostly because of strong hitting with runners in scoring position over the last week.
