AAA Toledo Mud Hens
40-58, 4th in West Division
Toledo had a big night from starting pitching to complement its power at the plate in Saturday's series opener on the road against Louisville as the Mud Hens hit four home runs and shut out the Bats 10-0. Starting pitcher Jose Alvarez improved his record to 6-4 with a dominant win, shutting out the Bats on three hits over seven innings while striking out four. Justin Souza pitched the final two innings in relief and didn't give up a hit. Danny Worth, Danny Dorn, Ben Guez and Mike Cervenak all went deep in the win and accounted for seven of the team's 10 runs.
AA Erie Seawolves
47-44, 2nd in Western Division
Erie broke a 1-1 tie in the ninth inning of Saturday's game against Harrisburg with a walk off solo home run as the SeaWolves topped the Senators 2-1. Starting pitcher Jon Link improved his record to 3-1 after earning the win in a complete game effort, allowing one unearned run on three hits while striking out 9. James Robbins was the hero for the SeaWolves, going 1-for-4 with the game-winning solo homer with one out in the bottom of the ninth. Daniel Fields drove in a run and had a triple in the win.
High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers
39-49, 5th in North Division
Lakeland utilized some late offense in Saturday's game against Fort Myers as the Flying Tigers scored four runs in the final three innings, topping the Miracle 4-1. Kyle Ryan improved his record to 9-6 after earning the win in his start, allowing one earned run on six hits over six innings while striking out five. Jose Valdez earned his fifth save of the season. Two of Lakeland's four runs were unearned with the other two being driven in by Jason Krizan and Luis Alberto Sanz.
Low-A West Michigan Whitecaps
44-48, 6th in Eastern Division

West Michigan gave up a run in the first inning of Saturday's series opener against Kane County before the Whitecaps scored 9 unanswered runs, topping the Cougars 9-1. Jake Thompson earned a no decision in the start after allowing one unearned run on three hits over four innings while striking out seven. Calvin Drummond improved his record to 1-1 after earning the win in relief. Lance Durham played a big role in West Michigan's big offensive display, going 2-for-4 with two runs driven in and two runs scored in the win.
A Short-Season Connecticut
10-16, 4th in Stedler Division
Connecticut was locked in a 1-1 tie in Saturday's season opener against Brooklyn before the Tigers gave up the go-ahead run in the top of the ninth inning, falling to the Cyclones 2-1. Buck Farmer earned a no decision in the start, allowing one earned run on two hits over three innings. Johnnie Kirkland earned his first loss of the season in relief. Raphael Rhymes had the only offense for Connecticut, driving in a run on a sacrifice.
R DSL Tigers
22-12, 1st in Dominican Summer League San Pedro de Macoris
The DSL Tigers fell short in a late comeback bid in Saturday's game against the Pirates, putting up two runs in the final two innings but falling 6-2. Starting pitcher Juan Alcantara fell to 3-1 after earning his first loss of the season, allowing one unearned run on three hits over five innings. Sandy Acevedo had the best night at the plate for the Tigers, going 1-for-4 with an RBI double in the loss.
R GCL Tigers
11-5, 1st in Gulf Coast League
The GCL Tigers gave up a three-run fourth in Saturday's game against the Braves and could not recover, falling to the Braves 3-1. Starting pitcher David Paulino fell to 2-1 with the loss after allowing three earned runs on four hits over four innings. Ismael Salgado drove in the only run for the Tigers, going 1-for-4 with an RBI in the loss.
R VSL Tigers
24-25, 4th in Venezuelan Summer League
The VSL Tigers fell into an early three-run hole in Saturday's game against the Phillies and could not claw their way out, falling to the Phillies 5-2. Anthony Castro fell to 2-2 after earning the loss in the start, allowing three earned runs on five hits over five innings. Ariel Serrano kept the Tigers alive offensively, going 1-for-4 with an RBI double in the loss.
