AAA Toledo Mud Hens
48-65, 4th in West Division
Toledo gave up three runs in the eighth inning of Wednesday's game against Durham and could not recover late as the Mud Hens fell to the Bulls 6-3. Jair Jurrjens earned a no decision in the start after allowing three earned runs on seven hits over five innings of work. Darin Downs fell to 0-1 after earning the loss out of the bullpen. Mike Cervenak had a big night at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI.
AA Erie Seawolves
57-51, 2nd in Western Division
Erie scored three runs in the ninth inning of Wednesday's game against Reading but the SeaWolves comeback bid fell short, falling to the Fightin Phils 7-6. Starting pitcher Ramon Garcia fell to 0-2 with the loss, allowing six earned runs on seven hits over seven innings. Eugenio Suarez hit his ninth home run of the season in the loss and drove in two runs.

Low-A West Michigan Whitecaps

West Michigan relied on a strong outing from its pitching staff in Wednesday's matchup against Great Lakes as the Whitecaps allowed only one run, topping the Loons 3-1. Starting pitcher Endrys Briceno improved to 7-6 with the win, allowing one earned run on four hits over five innings. Corey Knebel earned his tenth save in the win. Jason King, Lance Durham and Jake Stewart each recorded RBI singles for the Whitecaps.
A Short-Season Connecticut
19-24, 4th in Stedler Division
Connecticut nearly blew a three-run lead in Wednesday's game against Batavia but the Tigers held on, topping the Muckdogs 3-2. Austin Pritcher earned a no decision in the start, shutting out Batavia on two hits over four innings. Will LaMarche earned his first win of the season out of the bullpen. Ben Verlander led the team at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a triple and two runs driven in in the win.
R DSL Tigers
34-16, 1st in Dominican Summer League San Pedro de Macoris
The DSL Tigers couldn't generate much at the plate in Wednesday's game against the Braves, putting up just four hits and falling 5-1. Starting pitcher Stanley Martinez fell to 2-2 with the loss after allowing three earned runs on five hits over 3 ? innings. Bryan Tejeda drove in the lone run for the Tigers on a sacrifice.
R GCL Tigers
20-10, 1st in Gulf Coast League
The GCL Tigers fell into an early 2-0 hole in Wednesday's game against the Phillies and could not find a way out, falling in a 5-2 final. Starting pitcher Nick Carmichael fell to 2-2 with the loss after allowing four earned runs on six hits over five innings. Javier Betancourt drove in both runs for the Tigers on two sacrifice outs.
