AAA Toledo Mud Hens

Toledo needed a flurry of scoring in Monday's game against Indianapolis but the Mud Hens prevailed, topping the Indians 7-4. Starting pitcher Kyle Lobstein improved to 5-3 with the win, allowing two earned runs on seven hits over six innings. Evan Reed earned his first save of the season in the win. Mike Cervenak led the way at the plate out of the designated hitter spot, going 1-for-3 with two runs driven in.
AA Erie Seawolves
71-63, 2nd in Western Division
Erie held off a late comeback in Monday's low-scoring game against Akron as the SeaWolves topped the Aeros 3-2. Starting pitcher Victor Larez improved to 9-7 with the win, allowing one earned run on five hits over five innings. Melvin Mercedes earned his twelfth save of the season in the win. Tyler Collins and Ramon Cabrera each drove in a run for Erie.
High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers
59-65, 2nd in North Division
Lakeland and Brevard County were locked into a pitcher's duel on Monday as neither team scored a run through the first 9 innings, but Lakeland's three-run tenth proved to be the difference as the Flying Tigers topped the Manatees 3-0. Wilsen Palacios earned a no decision in the start, shutting out Brevard County on three hits over eight innings. Chad Green improved to 2-0 after earning the win in relief and Jose Valdez earned his fourteenth save of the season. Steven Moya was the hero at the plate, hitting a three-run double in the tenth inning to lead the Flying Tigers to a win.
Low-A West Michigan Whitecaps
65-67, 5th in Eastern Division

West Michigan entered the ninth inning of Monday's game against Lake County locked in a 1-1 tie before the Whitecaps won it with a walkoff home run, topping the Captains 4-1. Endrys Briceno earned a no decision in the start, shutting out the Captains on six hits over six innings. Corey Knebel blew the save but earned his second win of the season. Lance Durham had the walkoff three-run shot, his sixteenth home run of the season.
A Short-Season Connecticut
31-35, 3rd in Stedler Division
Connecticut gave up one run but was otherwise strong on the mound in Monday's game against Hudson Valley as the Tigers topped the Renegades 4-1. Starting pitcher Julio Felix improved to 3-2 with the win, allowing one earned run on three hits over five innings. Zac Reininger earned his ninth save in the win. Four players drove in runs for the Tigers in the win, although no player recorded multiple hits for Connecticut.
R DSL Tigers
1-0, Game 1 of 3 in First Round ofd Dominican Summer League Playoffs
The DSL Tigers started their 2013 championship push in the right way in Monday's playoff opener against the DSL Pirates2 as the Tigers routed the Pirates2 10-0 in the first of a three game series. Starting pitcher Sandy Baez improved to 1-0 with the win, shutting out the Pirates2 on two hits over six innings. Manuel Joseph had a three-run homer in the win and Willy Adames added a solo shot.
R GCL Tigers
31-26, 2nd in Gulf Coast League
The GCL Tigers scored eight runs in the seventh inning of Monday's game against the Astros as the Tigers topped the Astros 9-1. Confesor Lara earned a no decision in the start, allowing one earned run on three hits over six innings. Micah Kellogg improved to 3-2 after earning the win in relief. Franklin Navarro hit a home run and drove in three runs in the win.
