Toledo gave up the go-ahead run midway through Sunday's game against Columbus and could not generate anything offensively as the Mud Hens fell to the Clippers 2-1. Starting pitcher Jair Jurrjens fell to 7-10 with the loss after allowing two earned runs on six hits over seven innings. Argenis Diaz drove in the lone run for the Mud Hens on a 1-for-4 day at the plate.

Lakeland scored six runs in the final four innings of Sunday's game against Tampa but the flurry of offense wasn't enough as the Flying Tigers fell to the Yankees 9-6. Starting pitcher Kevin Eichhorn fell to 2-6 with the loss after allowing seven earned runs on 10 hits over five innings. Chad Wright and Dean Green each drove in two runs in the loss.

West Michigan held a late 13-run lead in Sunday's game against Lansing as the Whitecaps had their biggest offensive performance of the season, putting up 19 hits and topping the Lugnuts 13-1. Starting pitcher Calvin Drummond improved to 3-2 with the win after shutting out Lansing on three hits over five innings. Jake Stewart drove in three runs and hit his fourteenth home run of the season and Connor Harrell drove in three runs.

Connecticut broke an extra innings tie with two runs in the top of the tenth inning in Sunday's game against Vermont as the Tigers topped the Lake Monsters 6-4. Chase Edwards earned a no decision in the start, allowing three earned runs on five hits over five innings. Johnnie Kirkland improved to 4-2 after earning the win in relief and Scott Sitz took his third save of the season. Curt Powell had a double and drove in two runs in the win.

The DSL Tigers started their championship push on a strong note in game one of the DSL Championship Series against the Rangers as the Tigers topped the Rangers 10-2. Starting pitcher Carlos Lara improved to 1-1 with the win, allowing one earned run on eight hits over five innings. Manuel Joseph had a huge game at the plate, hitting a two-run home run and driving in four runs on the night.
