1. RHP Jake Thompson - High-A Lakeland

42 IP | 3-1 | 1.07 ERA | 0.85 WHIP | 12 BB | 39 K | 0 HR

Not much has changed since we last checked in on Thompson. The 20-year-old right-hander continued his shovefest this past week allowing just two hits, a walk and one run over five innings in a no-decision against the Tampa Yankees. The former 2nd round pick in 2012 remains tied for the third lowest ERA in the league, with the fifth most strikeouts in the FSL through seven starts.

2. RHP Austin Kubitza - Class-A West Michigan

41 IP | 5-0 | 1.98 ERA | 1.05 WHIP | 13 BB | 54 K | 2 HR

Kubitza stayed red hot earning two victories this past week. The Tigers fourth rounder from last season's June Draft struck out 15 and allowed just two earned runs over his last two starts--a span of 11 2/3 innings. The 6'5" 22-year-old leads the MWL in strikeouts and wins so far this season.

3. RHP Edgar de la Rosa - High-A Lakeland

35 2/3 IP | 1-3 | 2.78 ERA 0.98 WHIP | 13 BB | 28 K | 1 HR

Edgar De La Rosa did not see any action this past week as a blister on the middle ?nger of his right hand forced him to the 7-day DL.

4. RHP Corey Knebel - Triple-A Toledo

16 IP | 3-0 | 1 SV | 1.13 ERA | 1.12 WHIP | 6 BB | 23 K | 1 HR

Corey Knebel was recently promoted to Triple-Toledo. Since being promoted, Knebel hit a batter and allowed an inherited runner to score in an otherwise clean inning of work.

5. RHP Jonathon Crawford - Class-A West Michigan

29 2/3 | IP | 1-1 | 2.73 ERA | 1.08 WHIP | 8 BB | 27 K | 1 HR

Crawford's spot in the rotation was skipped this past week. The right-hander is slated to start again this Saturday the 17th.

6. LHP Kevin Ziomek - Class-A West Michigan

32 2/3 IP | 2-3 | 1.38 ERA | 1.10 WHIP | 13 BB | 33 K | 2 HR

Crafty southpaw Kevin Ziomek earned his second win of the season last week, allowing two unearned runs over six innings of work. Ziomek's 1.38 ERA is currently the lowest in the MWL.

7. LHP Josh Turley - High-A Lakeland

35 1/3 IP | 3-0 | 2.04 ERA | 0.99 WHIP | 9 BB | 31 K | 0 HR

Turley continues to shine in his new role as a starter. The southpaw has an impressive 2.16 ERA 0.96 WHIP 22K/5BB since joining rotation on 4/25. Turley, 23, allowed two runs off six hits while striking out seven over seven innings against Brevard County this past week.

8. RHP Buck Farmer - Class-A West Michigan

39 2/3 IP | 4-3 | 2.50 ERA | 1.34 WHIP | 16 BB | 53 K | 1 HR

Farmer got touched up for nine runs (three earned) on Monday night. The 23-year-old logged just four innings, allowing eight hits and walking four. His 53 strikeouts are second to only his teammate Austin Kubitza in the MWL.

9. RHP Chad Smith - Triple-A Toledo

20 1/3 IP | 1-0 | 1 SV | 1.33 ERA | 0.98 WHIP | 6 BB | 21 K | 1 HR

Chad Smith has pitched well in a variety of roles between Double-A and Triple-A this season. The right-hander has struck out seven over 7 1/3 scoreless innings since being promoted to Triple-A Toledo.

10. RHP Kevin Eichhorn - High-A Lakeland

42 1/3 IP | 3-0 | 1.49 ERA | 0.99 WHIP | 14 BB | 25 K | 0 HR

Eichhorn makes his TigsTown Power Rankings debut after two seven inning gems this past week. The 24-year-old right-hander is arguably the polar opposite of a top prospect, regardless, he has been an anchor for Lakeland's rotation thus far.
