2017 Erie SeaWolves Roster

The SeaWolves roster was released Saturday, and this year's roster has plenty of intriguing prospects, as 7 of the top 26 prospects in the system will start the year in Erie at UPMC Park.

The strong roster for the SeaWolves starts in the outfield, with the organization's 3rd and 13th ranked prospects will make their home, in Christin Stewart and Mike Gerber. The tandem will give the SeaWolves plenty of punch in the middle of the order.

They'll be joined by a number of prospects in the lineup from the diamond as well, with A.J. Simcox (19th) moving up from Lakeland to take over at shortstop, Grayson Greiner (26th) behind the plate, and Dominic Ficociello (43rd) at first base.

Moving on to the rotation, where the SeaWolves have three top 50 members, highlighted by 7th-ranked prospect Tyler Alexander. Joining him among the prospects is Erie-returnee Myles Jaye (20th) and Artie Lewicki (34th).

Finally in the bullpen, organization newcomer Victor Alcantara (21st) is the prospect to watch, as he'll be joined by a number of organization veterans to hold down the late innings.
