Chicago socks Tigers 6-1

The Tigers have had success against the White Sox this season, but this weekend wasn't the best example of that, as Chicago beat the Tigers again on Sunday afternoon. Freddy Garcia turned in an excellent start, meanwhile Jeremy Bonderman didn't pitch bad, but wasn't as dominant as he has been in recent weeks.

Jeremy Bonderman gave another good effort, but wasn't dominating as he has been in some of his recent starts.

Bonderman allowed 4 runs on 6 hits in 6 innings. Bonderman also walked 2 and struck out 4, as he fell to 10-12 on the season.

Freddy Garcia didn't have those same struggles, as he quieted the Tigers offense. Garcia gave up a run in 7 1/3 innings, including 8 strikeouts.

The Tigers didn't manage much at the plate, getting just 6 hits. Curtis Granderson, who came in midway for Nook Logan, scored the team's lone run as he got his first big league at bat. Dmitri Young was responsible for driving him in, although he didn't have a hit all game.

Paul Konerko had a Home Run and 2 RBI for Chicago, while Carlos Lee also added a 2-run Home Run.

The Tigers, who currently sit at 67-81, have no break, as they start another inter-division series, this time with Cleveland. The first game is set for 7:05pm, with Mike Maroth facing Scott Elarton.
