AAA Toledo Mud Hens - TOLEDO 1, BUFFALO 0
21-24, 2nd in West division
The Toledo Mud Hens snapped a four game losing streak thanks to some extra inning dramatics by Ryan Ludwick. With the game deadlocked in a scoreless tie after nine innings, it was Ludwick's solo blast in the last of the tenth that lifted the Mud Hens to a 1-0 victory to take game two of their four-game series with the Buffalo Bisons. Mud Hens starter Jordan Tata was outstanding in his efforts, going six full innings, striking out six, walking just one, and scattering three hits. Relievers Chris Spurling and Mark Woodyard chipped in for the final three innings with Woodyard (1-3) picking up the win as the pitcher of record after Ludwick's game winning homer. The two teams will continue their series tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Fifth Third Field in Toledo with Wil Ledezma (2-3, 3.06) taking the mound for the Mud Hens where he'll face Rob Bell (3-3, 3.35) of the Bisons.
