AAA Toledo Mud Hens - ROCHESTER 5, TOLEDO 0

The Toledo Mud Hens were held to just four hits in a 5-0 loss in eleven innings at home to the Rochester Red Wings on Tuesday night. After ten scoreless innings, it was the Red Wings who came out the victors, scoring five unanswered runs in the top of the eleventh for the win. Tike Redman was the lone standout at the plate for Toledo managing to collect three hits with David Espinosa supplying the other lone hit. Wil Ledezma started the game for Toledo and went a solid, 7-1/3 innings giving up just three hits, striking out six and walking three in an impressive outing before giving way to five more relievers including Cory Hamman (0-2), who came on in the tenth, to replace Mark Woodyard, allowing the five run Red Wing barrage in the eleventh. Toledo will now travel north of the border to Ottawa to begin a four game set with the Lynx beginning Wednesday night.

AA Erie SeaWolves - BOWIE 2, ERIE 0
24-27, 5th in Southern division
Erie was unable to wake up their offense Tuesday night, losing to Bowie 2-0. Three BaySox pitchers combined to give up only one hit, a single by Scott Tousa. Starter Preston Larrison pitched well enough to win the game, despite losing his fourth decision of the season. Larrison went six and two-thirds innings, giving up two earned runs on 10 hits and five walks, striking out four batters. Reliever Paul Sirakas held Bowie scoreless over the last one and a third innings. The series continues Wednesday in Bowie, starting at 7:05pm.

HiA Lakeland Tigers - TAMPA 7, LAKELAND 6
28-23, 3rd in West division
Lakeland suffered an extra-inning heartbreak on Tuesday, falling to Tampa 7-6 in 12 innings. Dallas Trahern had another very strong start, allowing three runs - two earned - over seven innings, including five strikeouts. Jeff Hahn gave up three more runs, seemingly putting the game out of reach, but a four-run bottom of the ninth (all with two outs) brought the L-Tigers back and forced extras. It would all be for naught though as Eddie Bonine gave up a run in the 12th, and Lakeland couldn't match again. Victor Mendez had a pair of hits, including the game-tying RBI in the ninth, while Clete Thomas went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, his 6th. Lakeland hosts Tampa again at 7pm on Wednesday.

A West Mich. Whitecaps - W. MICH 9, DAYTON 3
31-18, t-1st in Eastern division
The Whitecaps beat the Dragons, falling behind early once again, and rallying late to blow the game wide open and win 9-3. Sendy Vasquez (3-3) was solid through seven innings, allowing three runs, all unearned, and striking out three. Anthony Claggett earned his fourth save, pitching two innings of no-hit relief, striking out two. Rafael Mendez provided the fireworks on the evening, blasting a double and a three-run shot to left-center field. Mike Hernandez continued to tear the cover off the ball, going 2-for-5 with two RBIs, and Mike Hollimon went 1-for-4 with a double, an RBI, and a run scored. Pedro Cotto had an RBI double, and Matt Joyce went 3-for-5 with a run scored. The 'Caps face the Dragons again the 31st at 11am.
