AAA Toledo Mud Hens - DURHAM 15, TOLEDO 10

The Toledo Mud Hens were defeated by the Durham Bulls15-10 in their final match-up of a four game set on Monday night. The Bulls scored 10 runs in the top half of the first, leaving the home-town faithful a little dismayed only to have the Mud Hens reply with a five run rally to close the opening inning. Jack Hannahan was responsible for four of the Mud Hens 10 hits in the game, driving in two runs and scoring three times. Dustan Mohr had a three-run home run that contributed to the five–run first inning rally by the Mud Hens, while Josh Phelps and Mike Rabelo each chipped in for a pair of RBI's as well on the night. Steve Green (2-4) takes the loss after only 2/3 innings of work giving way to four additional pitchers along the way. The Mud Hens, who sit 4-1/2 games back of division leading Indianapolis, will now begin a home series with the Pawtucket Red Sox on Tuesday.

AA Erie SeaWolves - AKRON 9, ERIE 8
43-56, 6th in Southern division
Erie blew a seven-run lead Monday night, losing to Akron 9-8. Jon Connolly gave up seven earned runs on eight hits in five innings. Mike Nannini gave up one run in three innings and recorded his firt blown save, while Preston Larrison allowed an earned run without recording an out and picked up the loss. Jackson Melian hit a solo homer in the fifth, his ninth of the season. Vince Blue went 3 for 4 with two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI. The series continues with a double-header in Akron Tuesday, with the first game starting at 6:05pm.

HiA Lakeland Tigers - JUPITER 7, LAKELAND 1
15-16, t-5th in West division
Lakeland struggles in the field and at the plate and loses 7-1 to Jupiter Monday night. The L-Tigers tied the game at one in the fourth when Gilberto Mejia led-off the inning with a single, Brent Dlugach stepped up and belted a double, and Jeff Frazier knocked him in with a sacrifice fly. It was Frazier's 58th RBI of the year. The L-Tigers couldn't get another run but did leave 10 runners on base. Jeremy Johnson took the loss after allowing 7 hits and five runs in 5 1/3 innings. Only two of the runs were earned off Johnson due to three Lakeland errors. Lakeland wraps up the series with Jupiter Tuesday night at 6:35pm.

A West Mich. Whitecaps - W. MICH. 5, PEORIA 3
24-7, 1st in Eastern division
The 'Caps came from behind to win yet again, rallying from two down to win 5-3 against the Cheifs. Erik Averill earned his sixth win, improving to 6-4, pitching six innings while allowing three runs on nine hits, and striking out four. Matt Rusch pitched two innings of scoreless relief, striking out three and dropping his ERA to 1.12. Orlando Perdomo earned his 23rd save, as he struck out the side in the ninth. Cameron Maybin led the offensive charge for the 'Caps, going 2-for-4 with a two RBI single and his fifth homer of the year. Will Rhymes went 2-for-4 with a run scored, and Mike Hernandez went 2-for-4. The 'Caps face the Cheifs again the 26th at 7pm in the second game of the series.
