Raburn, Justice Power Victories (4/13 Recaps)

Led by the bat of Ryan Raburn, Toledo edged by Durham on Friday evening. Meanwhile, Luke French got plenty of offensive support as he improved his record to 2-0. The Whitecaps meanwhile continue to battle the poor spring weather, with yet another game being postponed.

AAA Toledo Mud Hens – TOLEDO 5, DURHAM 4
3-5, 3rd in West division
A go ahead sixth-inning two-run home run by Ryan Raburn lifted the Mud Hens to a win in their home opener Friday night against the Durham Bulls. Raburn's blast scored Timo Perez who reached base on a single earlier in the inning. Perez finished the night with two runs and a double while Rayburn finished with one run and two RBI. Mike Hessman went 1-for-2 with two walks and two RBI for the Mud Hens and Dane Sardinha had a hit and an RBI. The win was credited to Dennis Tankersley (2-0, 3.97 E.R.A.) after he allowed only four earned runs in six and one thirds innings pitched. Tankersley also recorded three strikeouts. Reliever Aquilino Lopez recorded his first save of the season for the Mud Hens, who will face the Bulls (4-5), Saturday at 7 p.m. at Fifth Third Field. Right-hander Yorman Barzado (0-1 31.50 E.R.A) is scheduled to start against Bulls right-hander Mitch Talbot (1-0 0.00 E.R.A.).

AA Erie SeaWolves – HARRISBURG 16, ERIE 3
2-3, 5th in Southern division
The Harrisburg Senators pounded out 22 hits on route to a 16-3 victory over the Erie SeaWolves. Starting pitcher Jon Connolly was knocked out of the game in the fourth after allowing 9 hits and 6 earned runs. First baseman Jeff Larish was one of the few bright spots going 2-4 and adding an RBI. Jackson Melian stayed hot going 2-3 and Kody Kirkland hit his first homerun of the season. The Seawolves and Senators will be back in action tomorrow night at 6:05 p.m.

A+ Lakeland Flying Tigers – LAKELAND 7, CLEARWATER 3
4-4, t-2nd in West division
Lakeland pitcher Luke French extended his record to 2-0 Friday night as the Flying Tigers defeated the Clearwater Threshers 7-3. French pitched. French pitched 6 and 1/3 innings and surrendered three runs. On the offensive side, Dusty Ryan blasted a home run followed by several key runs batted in for an assortment of Lakeland players. Also, Justin Justice was 3-for-5 at the plate (one hit being a triple). The Flying Tigers will once again play in Clearwater on Saturday night at 6:30 PM. Sendy Vasquez is most likely to make the start for Lakeland, while Daniel Brauer will get the nod for Clearwater.

A West Mich. Whitecaps – PPD: UNPLAYABLE FIELD
1-4, 5th in Eastern division

Friday's West Michigan game versus South Bend was postponed due to unplayable field conditions. The game will be made up Saturday, April 14 as part of a doubleheader. They will play two seven-inning games, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
