TigsTown Power Rankings: 7th Edition

Chris Cody owned the power rankings for the first month of the season, but after a few weeks of falling from the top slot, is he ready to re-claim his territory, or did someone like Mike Hessman come from nowhere to emerge?

1. (LWR: 2) SP Chris Cody (WMI)
Cody re-claims the top spot with an outstanding outing, giving up two runs over eight innings while striking out double digits

2. (LWR: 9) SP Andrew Miller (ERI)
Miller continues to climb with another very solid start; he's proven he's now big league ready, could he be destined to return to Detroit shortly?

3. (LWR: NR) IF Mike Hessman (TOL)
Rare for someone to jump this high from being unranked – but it's also very rare for a player to have seven extra base hits and drive in 15 runs in a single week

4. (LWR: 4) 1B Ryan Roberson (LAK)
Roberson continues to drive the ball all over the field, he added two more doubles and three more homers to his totals, including driving in 7 runs

5. (LWR: 7) SP Luke French (LAK)
French made good over two starts, giving up a handful of runs but making up for it with eight shutout innings for the club

6. (LWR: 8) OF Ryan Raburn (TOL)
Raburn continues to help pace the Toledo offense as he's hitting for power and showing patience at the plate with six walks and four extra base hits for the week

7. (LWR: NR) RP Jeff Gerbe (WMI)
Gerbe is on an incredible streak – he hasn't allowed an earned run in six weeks, which has spanned more than 19 scoreless innings and counting now

8. (LWR: 1) SP Eulogio de la Cruz (ERI)
De La Cruz falls after a good but unspectacular outing; "Frankie" will continue to hear his name mentioned more and more when talking possible Detroit ‘pen possibilities

9. (LWR: NR) SP Burke Badenhop (LAK)
Badenhop put together another solid outing, giving up an earned run over seven innings of work leading to an LFT win

10. (LWR: 11) 3B Kody Kirkland (ERI)
Kirkland continues his pace that he was on last year, continuing with a low average but hitting for plenty of power; four more extra base hits in the last week

11. (LWR: NR) OF Timo Perez (TOL)
Timo jumps back onto the top 15 with a solid week that included four doubles and a home run as Perez helped pace the offensive onslaught from the ‘Hens

12. (LWR: 15) OF Wilkin Ramirez (LAK)
Wilkin keeps up the hot hitting; hitting for both average and power with a .333 average for the week and three extra base hits

13. (LWR: 3) SP Dallas Trahern (ERI)
Trahern barely hangs on after an outing in which he gave up four runs over less than six innings of work – will make up for it in the following week though

14. (LWR: NR) OF Jeramy Laster (WMI)
Laster jumps onto the top 15 after a week in which he reached double digits in runs driven in; Laster also blasted three home runs

15 (LWR: NR) SP Jair Jurrjens (ERI)
Jurrjens finally makes his debut on the Power Rankings after a quiet (though not bad) first six weeks of the season; seven shutout innings will do that
