Robertson to DL; Miller Likely to Take Spot

Reports out of Texas indicated that after a performance in which he allowed six runs without recording an out, the Tigers placed Nate Robertson on the 15-day disabled list with what they're calling a 'tired arm'.

While Nate Robertson insisted he felt fine, something has been wrong with the left-hander for the past few weeks. And after an outing in which he didn't record a single out before being removed from the game, the Tigers had to do something. So, Robertson will be placed on the disabled list.

Further reports out of Texas indicate that the Tigers will replace Robertson with start left-hander Andrew Miller, who has already made one appearance in Detroit this season. However, neither Miller or the Erie SeaWolves have been notified that Miller will be getting promoted.

The possibility exists that the Tigers will call up a reliever (likely from Toledo) for a couple days, and then promote Miller on Sunday for Robertson's start, especially after the bullpen had to work an entire game on Wednesday.

Robertson is 4-6 with a 5.07 ERA in 12 starts this season.
