AAA Toledo Mud Hens – SYRACUSE 6, TOLEDO 4
39-31, 2nd in West division
Syracuse lit-up the Mud Hens for five runs in the first inning and earned a 6-4 victory Sunday night. Dennis Tankersley, who earned the loss, only lasted 1 1/3 innings and allowed five earned runs on six hits. Vic Darensbourg pitched three solid innings from the pen but the damage was already done. Timo Perez had the only multi-hit game for the Mud Hens and Mike Hessman and Jack Hannahan each had solo home runs. Perez also had an RBI and Ryan Rayburn had an RBI and two walks. The Mud Hens will face Ottawa on Monday with Corey Hamman taking the mound.

AA Erie SeaWolves – NEW HAMPSHIRE 11, ERIE 5
35-31, 2nd in Southern division
The Erie SeaWolves fell 11-5 to the New Hampshire Fischer Cats. The SeaWolves had 13 hits in the loss. Matt Joyce led the way going 3-for-3 with a home run. Clete Thomas also had three hits going 3-for-5 with a RBI. Pedro Cotto started a first base allowing Jeff Larish a day off and he was 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and a RBI. Jackson Melian continued to stay hot as well going 2-for-5 with a run scored and Mike Hollimon added a home run and was 2-for-5. Eddie Bonine was the losing pitcher dropping his record to 5-4. Bonine lasted only five innings and allowed 10 hits and five earned runs. The 'Wolves will be off on Monday and will return to action on Tuesday at 5:05 p.m. in a doubleheader against the Akron Aeros.

A+ Lakeland Flying Tigers – ALL STAR BREAK
28-38, t-5th in West division
The West All Stars fell to the East All Stars 8-4 in the Florida State League's midsummer classic. Among the Tigers, Cameron Maybin went 2-for-4 with a run scored, Ryan Roberson had an RBI, and Mike Hernandez went hitless in two at bats. Luke French faced just one batter, but recorded the out. Lakeland returns to action on Monday, when the host Dunedin at 5:00pm.

A West Mich. Whitecaps – W. MICH. 7, DAYTON 4
38-32, 2nd in Eastern division
The Whitecaps ended the first half of their season with a victory Sunday as they defeated Dayton 7-4. Louis Ott got the offense going in the first on a two run home run. He also scored two runs. Brennan Boesch picked up three RBI, including a two run double in the third on which he also scored on a Michael Bertram single. Audy Ciriaco had two hits and two runs scored. Angel Castro (7-4, 3.01 ERA) allowed two earned runs over five innings for the win. West Michigan will have the next three days off for the Midwest League All Star Break, though eight Whitecaps players will be playing in the All Star Game for the Eastern Division. The game is Tuesday at Kane County at 7:00 p.m. The 'Caps will return to action Thursday at Dayton at 7:00 p.m.
