TigsTown Power Rankings: 11th Edition

After being a later round selection and flying under the radar, Jeff Gerbe has emerged as a legit pitching prospect for the organization - has he done enough to lay claim to the top slot in the power rankings?

1. (LWR: 3) SP Jeff Gerbe (WMI)
Gerbe lays claim to the top spot for the first time this year after another stellar performance in which he gave up two runs over seven innings of work

2. (LWR: 6) IF Mike Hessman (TOL)
Hessman came up just short of passing Gerbe for the top slot; Hessman blasted three more home runs as he continues to lead the International League

3. (LWR: 9) 2B Mike Hollimon (ERI)
Hollimon came with an offensive onslaught this past week, ripping five extra base hits and bringing home five runs for the ‘Wolves

4. (LWR: 2) SP Chris Cody (LAK)
Due to the Midwest League All Star game and moving up a level, Cody didn't pitch last week; gets to stay near the top due to stellar performance all season

5. (LWR: 12) IF Jack Hannahan (TOL)
Hannahan had a monster week, blasting four home runs, driving in eight, and taking an impressive eight walks at the plate for a huge one week jump in his OPS

6. (LWR: 1) OF Ryan Raburn (TOL)
Yet another ‘Hens hitter, Raburn didn't have a huge week, but still hit over .300 for the week while ripping a pair of doubles

7. (LWR: NR) SP Jordan Tata (TOL)
Tata moves onto the list after another impressive start, picking up a win for Toledo while giving up a pair of runs over seven innings

8. (LWR: 8) OF Mike Hernandez (LAK)
Hernandez stays right where he's at after hitting three doubles for the Flying Tigers; he's been a model of consistency all season long

9. (LWR: NR) SP Dallas Trahern (ERI)
Trahern jumps back onto the power rankings after being gone for a couple weeks; earned a win for the ‘Wolves going seven innings and giving up just one run

10. (LWR: 7) SS Erick Almonte (ERI)
Almonte didn't have a big power week, but was effective for the team in other ways, including taking eight walks

11. (LWR: NR) SP Duane Below (WMI)
Below paced the way for a Whitecaps victory, striking out eight batters over five shutout innings

12. (LWR: NR) OF Clete Thomas (ERI)
Clete hasn't had a great start to the '07 season numbers wise, but he produced this past week, with four extra base hits and five runs driven in

13. (LWR: 15) C James Skelton (WMI)
Skelton moves up slightly despite the All Star game shortening the week; Skelton connected on another home run as he continues to raise his OPS

14. (LWR: NR) SP Virgil Vasquez (TOL)
It's been an up-and-down year for Vasquez with a great start, followed by a slide after his big league debut; been back on track as of late though with six shutout innings

15. (LWR: NR) OF Wilkin Ramirez (LAK)
Ramirez blasted three home runs this past week as he starts to turn some of that power potential into production
