There is good news surrounding Erie pitcher Josh Rainwater. Rainwater, who went on the shelf last week, has a strained oblique muscle, and nothing more.
No MRI was required, and the 'Wolves should have Rainwater back within a couple of weeks.
The news however was not so good on reliever Brett Jensen. Sources out of Lakeland have informed TigsTown's Roger DeWitt that Jensen has undergone season ending Tommy John surgery.
Concern was raised over Jensen after he made his second trip to the disabled list in as many weeks with elbow trouble - Jensen, who some had high hopes for after jumping from West Michigan to Erie, will now look to be ready to go for the start of the 2009 season.
