REPORT: Bonderman Out for Season

As if the season wasn't already off to a bad start, reports indicate even worse news is on the way. According to Bill Ferris of Detroit Tigers Weblog, Jeremy Bonderman had an angioplasty early Saturday morning to remove a blood clot. Bonderman will miss the remainder of the season.

The Tigers' season was already off to a terrible start, and now it appears things are getting even worse.

Jeremy Bonderman was examined Friday evening at the Detroit Medical Center after concerns about a circulation issue came up.

After being examined, a blood clot was discovered in the axillary vein due to thoracic outlet compression syndrome. He underwent a thrombolysis on Friday night, and then an angioplasty on Saturday morning.

There has been no official announcement yet, so there has been no report as to who will take Bonderman's roster spot. It can be assumed however that both Armando Galarraga and Dontrelle Willis will both take rotation slots.
