Seven Farmhands on All Star Teams

The Erie SeaWolves and Toledo Mud Hens will be well represented in their respective All Star Games, with the SeaWolves placing four on the Eastern League All Star squad, and the Mud Hens' snagging three slots.

The Erie SeaWolves have been struggling, but they will still be well represented at the Double-A All Star game.

Among the hiters, catcher Dusty Ryan, first baseman Ryan Roberson and outfielder Wilkin Ramirez have all been named to the team. On the moudn, Casey Fien will represent the 'Wolves. Both Ryan and Fien were voted in by the fan balloting.

Ramirez of course has had a wildly successful season thus far, hitting .297 while leading the team with an .896 OPS. Dusty Ryan has come on strong after a couple of inconsistent seasons, leading the team in home runs with 13 and in RBI with 40. Ryan Roberson meanwhile is tied for 2nd on the team in home runs with 12, and has been a presence in the middle of the lineup. Casey Fien meanwhile has steppned up as the team's closer, posting a 2.68 ERA in 31 appearances, including eight saves and 35 strikeouts.

For the Mud Hens, infielder Mike Hessman, outfielder Brent Clevlen and relief pitcher Blaine Neal will all be on the squad.

Hessman's successes are well known; he is third in all of Minor League Baseball with 26 home runs, and his OPS has hovered around 1.000 all year. Brent Clevlen has actually one-up'd Hessman in RBI, despite spending a stretch of time in Detroit with the big league club. Neal meanwhile leads the International League in saves with 22.
