MiLB Recaps: 'Caps Pick Up Shutout Victory

Toledo's game on Monday was suspended in the third inning due to inclement weather. They'll pick the game up on Tuesday starting at 5:30PM.

The SeaWolves fell back to .500 on Monday with a 7-5 loss to Binghamton in ten innings. Thad Weber went deep into the game and received a no decision, giving up four runs in 7 1/3 innings of work. Brooks Brown tough took the loss, giving up a pair of runs in the eighth and ninth innings, and then giving up the go-ahead runs in the tenth. Andy Dirks went 2-for-5 with a double, a run scored and an RBI, while each other member of the top four of the order including Dirks had an RBI. Cale Iorg chipped in with three hits, a double and a run.

The Flying Tigers fell at the hands of Daytona on Monday, losing 6-3. Adam Wilk was very good as the starter, but the bullpen let him down. Wilk gave up just two runs in seven innings of work, but Lester Oliveros and Erik Crichton couldn't hold on, each allowing a pair of earned runs with Oliveros taking the loss, and Crichton the blown save. Rawley Bishop went 3-for-5 for Lakeland, while Daniel Fields added an RBI.

The Whitecaps picked up a 3-0 shutout victory over South Bend, with Ramon Lebron leading the way. Lebron picked up his third win of the season for tossing six shutout innings, he gave up just four hits while struck out six. Cory Hamilton earned a save for pitching the final three innings and keeping South Bend off the board and the lead intact. Alexis Espinoza went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI, while Luis Salas also drove in a run.
