The SeaWolves picked up a 4-2 win over Binghamton on Wednesday after a pair of losses to begin the series. Jon Kibler got the start but didn't make it the necessary five innings due to a rain delay to earn the victory. Kibler allowed two runs in four innings. When the skies parted, Zach Simons came on in relief and tossed three shutout innings with five strikeouts to pick up the win. Cesar Nicolas ripped a two run homer for the 'Wolves to get the club on the scoreboard in the first inning, while Cale Iorg added two hits and an RBI for the game. Chris White also had a double and an RBI.

After a one game surge, the Flying Tigers fell back to their losing ways in May, falling 4-3 to Daytona. Luke Putkonen took the loss despite turning in a quality start, allowing three runs in six innings of work. He also walked two and struck out five. Rawley Bishop continued to be a monster at the plate, belting a tow run home run, his fourth of the season. Brent Wyatt also chipped in with three hits for the team, while Billy Nowlin drove in the club's only other run.

The Whitecaps fell to Great Lakes on Wednesday, as a big six run fourth did in the 'Caps. The highlight of the evening was the return to the mound of Jacob Turner, who showed a bit of rustiness after being shelved for almost three weeks. Turner went 3 2/3 innings, giving up four runs (two earned) on three hits, with a walk and three strikeouts. Nate Newman however struggled in relief and took the loss, giving up four runs without recording an out. Michael Rockett ripped a three run blast for the 'Caps, with Jamie Johnson and Mike Gosse each adding two hits and a run scored from the top of the order.
