Despite three home runs from Wilkin Ramirez, the SeaWolves fell to Trenton Wednesday 7-6 on a two-run walk-off blast. Ramirez had a monster game though, driving in four total runs as he belted home runs in the first, sixth and eighth innings. Jon Kibler got the start and a no-decision, giving up five runs in five innings of work. Luis Marte took the loss and the blown save for giving up the game winning two run shot in the ninth. Cesar Nicolas also went 3-for-5 including a double and a run scored in the losing effort.

The Flying Tigers mounted a strong rally as they came back strong in the late innings to pull away with a 7-2 victory. The rally combined with another strong showing from Luke Putkonen helped drive the win. Putkonen went seven innings, allowing two runs on seven hits with a pair of walks and four strikeouts. Lester Oliveros and Cory Hamilton each pitched a scoreless inning of relief to secure the win for Lakeland. Chao-Ting Tang and Julio Rodriguez each drove in a pair of runs from the bottom of the order, while Kody Kaiser added three hits and an RBI for the club. Rawley Bishop had an interesting line for the night, scoring three times despite not managing a single hit.

Ramon Lebron got roughed up for the Whitecaps as the club fell again on Wednesday, losing to Lansing 9-5. Lebron took the loss, giving up eight runs on seven hits in just 2 1/3 innings of work. Nolan Moody and Nathan Newman combined to slow the Lugnuts, but the Whitecaps couldn't make a comeback all the way back from the huge deficit. Jordan Lennerton went 3-for-4 with two RBI, while Michael Rockett and Wade Gaynor each chipped in with two hits and an RBI.

The VSL Tigers hit the .500 mark on Wednesday with a 4-1 win over the VSL Rays. Jose Tablante got the start but a no decision as he didn't make it the requisite five innings. He did got 4 1/3 though, allowing just one hit and no runs. Angel Carreno tossed 3 2/3 innings of relief, allowing just one run, to pick up the win. Oscar Gomez ripped a two run homer for the club, while Daniel Carranza added a solo shot for extra run insurance in the eighth inning.
